The firm represents a long-time employee of a local asphalt paving company who was promised, verbally and in writing, a minority shareholder ownership interest in a company for agreeing to work for the company over a period of years. After the client fulfilled his obligations to acquire a minority shareholder interest, the majority owner of the concrete company refused to transfer him any ownership in the company or pay him any portion of the company’s profits.
