Settlement of Claim Against Utilities Provider

The firm was retained to represent a property renovator against a local utilities provider for failing to following instructions and turning on the water to a home being renovated before the plumbing was completed. The utilities company denied payment of the client’s claim. After submitting evidence and arguments to the utilities company, the firm obtained the full payment of the amount the client was seeking to recover, which included amounts to repair the property, lost rental income, and attorneys’ fees and costs.
