Representation of Commercial Tenant in Wrongful Eviction

April 2015

The firm was retained to represent a commercial tenant who entered into a lease to construct and operate a health and fitness facility in a shopping mall. The landlord ceased making required construction allowance payments necessary for the tenant to complete the project and attempted to terminate the lease and evict the tenant. The firm filed a civil lawsuit to recover damages for breach of contract and fraud, seeking lost profits over the remaining 20-year lease term.
